Peter Hartley retained by Jamshedpur FC ahead of New Season

Peter Hartley will play for Jamshedpur FC ahead of ISL 2021-22. Importantly the 33 Year-old Englishman is given a one-year extension with the club. And he will continue to wear the Number 29 Shirt for the Red Miners.

Certainly Peter Hartley is a Sunderland AFC Accademy Product. He joined Sunderland AFC Accademy in 2000 at the age of 12 Year-old. And begin to improve his performance as a Centre-Back in England.

Further he made his ISL debut as a Captian last season with Jamshedpur FC. And he has a impressive record of 9 Clean Sheets and 2 goals to his name.

“I had an amazing season with Jamshedpur. We made a club record for the number of clean sheets in a season, and I hope we can better that record in the coming season and bring the ISL trophy home.” – Said Hartley after signing his contact extension.

Further he also expressed his gratitude for playing under Owen Coyle for the Second time.

“We have a fantastic gaffer in Owen Coyle. I am thrilled to continue playing under his guidance and do well for him as well as for the fantastic supporters of Jamshedpur.” – added Hartley.

Peter Hartley found his senior debut in 2007 versus Leicester City under Roy Keane. In addition, he also played against Owen Coyle’s Burnley in 2009.

“We were mean in defence the previous season and a lot of it was down to how the skipper organized things at the back for us. Like I said when we signed Peter, he is a big player for us who hates conceding goals. He brings with him so much experience from the English and Scottish Leagues.” -Said JFC Head Coach Owen Coyle.
