Real Madrid are on the lookout for Felix in hopes of replacing Benzema

Felix

In January, Chelsea signed Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid. The Chelsea football club has no buy option in Felix’s contract, according to Fabrizio Romano. So signing him on a permanent deal will be difficult this summer.

It leaves the door open for other clubs to swoop in and sign the Portuguese later this year. Fichajes says Real Madrid are interested in Felix as the long-term successor to Benzema.

Problems Felix faced while in Atletico Madrid

While at Atletico Madrid, Felix struggled at times toward the end of his career. Felix may need a permanent move away from the club to fulfill his potential because Diego Simeone’s style doesn’t match his. He said while talking to the press:

“I had been looking for a change of scenery for some time because it was difficult for me to get used to the way of playing.”

“I left because my head was full of the fact I was trying and not being able to. It had to be in this transfer window and I think it has been good for Atletico and for me too.”

Atletico Madrid’s rivals may not be Felix’s first choice, but he may feel he has unfinished business in Spain if he returned there.

There is no doubt that Chelsea have found a match-winner in Felix. He does look like an attacker who could really ignite the attack for the remainder of the season. As he becomes more familiar with the team and the league, Felix will only get better.
