Real Madrid suffers from injury issues ahead of UCL clash against Liverpool

An injury blow has struck Real Madrid ahead of their Champions League matchup with Liverpool. With the first leg of the last 16 taking place later this month, Liverpool have been drawn against the current holders. Both teams will meet at Anfield on February 21, followed by a second leg in the Spanish capital on March 15.

We will see a repeat of the final from last season in Paris. Vinicius Jr. of Madrid scored the only goal as Liverpool lost 1-0 at the Stade de France. A jackpot is a chance to become a millionaire with a single spin in a slot at websites like 1xbet.

Players to be unavailable from Real Madrid and Liverpool

Madrid appears to have taken an injury-hit as the next round of their rivalry looms. According to Spanish reports, Ferland Mendy will be out for a long time.

Mendy has been suffering from muscle injuries in his left leg, according to AS. Following an injury sustained against Atletico Madrid in last week’s Copa del Rey, Mendy will be sidelined until April. Also, on the other hand, Ancelotti clearly doesn’t expect much from Eden Hazard whose future seems unlikely.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are without Virgil van Dijk, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Roberto Firmino, Arthur Melo, and Ibrahima Konate. Whether many of the injured group will be fit for the first leg against Madrid remains to be seen.
