Real Sociedad quote Isak price to interested Arsenal

Spanish side Real Sociedad have revealed the asking price for ace Alexander Isak, amid links to Arsenal. They are not willing to accept anything lower than €90,000,000 (£74,800,000).

Isak’s form has dropped to an extent this term following an impressive 2020/21 campaign. Then, he had registered 17 goals in 34 La Liga matches. However, presently he has been able to notch up just 4 goals in 18 league games.

But that factor has not deterred interest from the North Londoners. The Gunners are now on the hunt for attacking reinforcements after they missed out on Dusan Vlahovic (moved to Italian giants Juventus).

Alexander Isak appears on the list of options being scrutinized by Arteta’s men. Joining him on the watchlist is Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lille striker Jonathan David.

Mundo Deportivo reports that the Swede will not be an easy buy though. La Real are keen to hold on to Isak. They are unwilling to consider any bids below his release clause, which has been quoted at a massive €90,000,000.

The report claims that the Gunners put forth a bid worth €70,000,000 for Isak earlier this month. That amount is lower than what Sociedad are asking though.

Skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang already departed for the Camp Nou. Hailing from the academy, Eddie Nketiah is drawing interest from a number of clubs and could leave the Emirates. Hence, signing a striker is becoming a high priority for Arsenal.

Newcastle United and Crystal Palace stand as interested parties, with the latter having had a bid rejected for the young Englishman.
