SC East Bengal Sign Promising Indian Youngster Ajay Chhetri

SC East Bengal have proclaimed the signing of the young Indian midfielder Ajay Chhetri on a loan deal from Bengaluru FC. He will be a part of East Bengal for the rest of the ongoing Indian Super League 2020-21 season.

The 21-years-old defensive midfielder was born in Manipur. Initially, he joined Bengaluru FC academy in the year 2016.

However, he was selected for the senior team during the 2018-19 season. He played his debut match against Chennaiyin FC. As a result, the Blues won the ISL 2018-19 season.

He also represented Bengaluru FC in the Durand cup in the year 2019. He was part of the club’s reserve team that won Bangalore Super Division two times in a row.

Ajay played his debut match for East Bengal in their last fixture against Kerela Blasters FC on 15 January. The Red and Gold Brigade head coach Robbie Fowler used him as a substitute player in the match.

SC East Bengal played out a 1-1 draw against KBFC.
