According to quotes attributed to the winger i.e. “He was relieved to see Ronaldo in tears rather than him or his Moroccan teammates following their spectacular World Cup win over Portugal in Doha” . But Boufal moved to Instagram to denounce the quotes as ‘FAKE,‘ showing a snapshot of an image of him and Ronaldo with the quote in issue written across it.
After a month out, Boufal returned to action for Al-Rayyan in a 2-2 draw with Al-Sailiya in the Qatar Stars League. This midweek, they face title contenders Al-Duhail.
