Sreenidi Deccan holds Real Kashmir to maintain second place in the I-league rankings

Sreenidi Deccan FC scored two late goals to earn a point against Real Kashmir. And remain undefeated at home in the Hero I-League football competition on Sunday at Deccan Arena. Dinesh Singh and Rosenberg Gabriel scored in the last five minutes to square the game. Following Real Kashmir’s goals by Samuel Kynshi and Ernest Boateng.

The game’s first opportunity fell to Sreenidi when Real Kashmir goalkeeper Prateek Kumar Singh turned away striker Louis Ogana’s shot inside the area in the opening minutes. But, it was Real Kashmir who took the lead when defender Mohammed Awal slipped and gave Samuel Kynshi a clear shot inside the box.

In the spirited second half, Real Kashmir increased their lead when substitute Ernest Boateng scored from close range in the 85th minute after Sreenidi goalie Aryan Lamba had failed to clear the danger.

The Snow Leopards appeared to be in control of the game until defender Dinesh Singh launched the Sreenidi comeback. In the 86th minute, his optimistic attempt from 40 yards slid under the bar and beat Prateek to make it 1-2.

Rosenberg was subsequently in the right place at the right time to slide it home in the 90th minute and gain Sreenidi Deccan FC a point.

On March 12, the Deccan Warriors will conclude their season against Gokulam Kerala at Kozhikode.
