Thomas Müller of Bayern Munich discusses his new role as a substitute and his part in Mathys Tel’s game-winning goal.

Bayern Munich defeated FC Copenhagen, the tenacious Danish champions, 2-1 with a major contribution from Thomas Müller. The 34-year-old expressed his gratitude to the Danes and talked about how he helped prevent a total disaster.

They didn’t lose a single game at home last year, not even against Manchester City. It’s a Champions League match, and we’re at FC Copenhagen. We sensed today that they are competent in what they are doing.

The Bavarian said, “I’m happy about any compliments, but I’m not sure if I have a new role.” “I’m a totally typical squad player who competes for playing time. Finally, the coach sets up, and we must respond appropriately.

He more than deserves to start games considering that he assisted in giving the Rekordmeister all three points.
