Devastating Pochettino judgement for a Chelsea youngster as Thomas Tuchel pursues a £25 million Bayern deal

Trevoh Chalobah has repeatedly pleaded with Chelsea to let him stay and compete for a spot. But they have informed him that he is free to choose a new club in January.

The versatile defender has been considered unnecessary by Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino. Because he does not see a place for him in his starting lineup.

In the summer, Nottingham Forest believed they had secured his services. But Chalobah turned down the offer to play at the City Ground.

In addition, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan had discussions. However, the 24-year-old is still held in high respect by current Bayern manager and former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, who is also eager to see Chalobah in Munich, according to reports.

Chalobah is being pursued once more by Tuchel’s recruiting staff in the upcoming months. Because he feels he can bring out the best in him. In order to prepare for a prospective move for the out-of-contract World Cup champion, Bayern had Jerome Boateng return to club training. This is because they are limited on senior center-back alternatives.

It is also believed that Chalobah, who has a good connection with Tuchel. And would like to play again under him, is interested in a move to the Allianz Arena. A transfer to Bayern, Germany’s all-time champions, has become even more alluring. As a result of the club’s recent acquisition of Harry Kane.

Chalobah just recently agreed to a new long-term contract with Chelsea that goes through 2028. And has an additional year option that the team may exercise. Many people, including the player himself, who had his heart set on becoming a legend at the team he had been with for 15 years. They were shocked to learn that he was being made available for transfer.

Before making his first-team debut under Tuchel in 2021, Chalobah was a standout in the Chelsea youth system, rising through the ranks. Earlier this year, the team was on a preseason tour of the United States. He was also awarded the captain’s armband.

After the summer departures of Lewis Hall, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Mason Mount, some Chelsea supporters are concerned that the team would permit another young player to leave.

The club received £105 million from their sales as a whole. However Hall’s £35 million transfer fee won’t be fully reimburse until next summer.

Regarding Chalobah, Chelsea has stated their position. And inform potential bidders that they are seeking a fee of about £25 million to facilitate a deal in the winter market.
